A Legacy of Egyptian Maus
Located in Northwest Oklahoma, Bastcats is a small cattery where Egyptian Maus are raised as cherished family members. We value the whole cat—their health, temperament, natural beauty, and the relationships they form with their people.
Our kittens grow up with thoughtful socialization and preparation for family life through our Bastcats Finishing School. We take time to get to know each kitten and each prospective family, helping make matches that feel right for both.
Most of our kittens join families on our waiting list. Timing varies with the kittens born and each family’s preferences, and we welcome the conversations that help us find your match.
Our commitment continues after a kitten leaves our home. We welcome updates, questions, and the chance to remain part of their story.
Our story began in the 1990s as Raziel Reign. Over three decades of developing our lines and sharing our lives with these magical beings, our understanding of the Egyptian Mau has continued to deepen. Each generation has taught us something new about their intelligence, sensitivity, and extraordinary capacity for connection.
Bastcats grew from that history—a new name carrying forward the experience, relationships, and beloved lines that shaped us. The name honors Bastet, daughter of Ra and the Egyptian goddess associated with cats. It also reflects the touch of magic we find in living alongside them.
